Honda2Wheelers
India has
launch Hornet 2.0 sibling of a Hornet 160r. The company has
forayed into the 180cc to 200cc segment. 2020 Hornet 2.0 available
in a single variant, and this bike rival is TVS Apache RTR & Bajaj
Pulsar.
Colour options
The bike is available with a choice between four colour options:
- Pearl Igneous Black
- Matte Sangria Red Metallic
- Matte Axis Grey Metallic
- Matte Marvel Blue Metallic
Engine and Transmission
Is a BS6-compliant,
4-stroke, PGM-Fi, 184cc engine that develops 17bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm
and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The motor is paired with a 5-speed
gearbox.
Frame and Suspension
Diamond-type frame. The suspension duties are
performed by a USD front fork and a mono-shock at the rear.
Tyres and Brakes
Extramaxx tubeless tyres from Maxxis India. The
front has a 110/70-17 M/C 54S unit, while the rear gets a 140/70-17 M/C 66S
unit. There is a disc each at both the ends (276mm front) and (220m rear). Also
available is single-channel ABS.
Dimensions
2,047mm in length, 783mm in width and 1,064mm in
height. It has a 1,355mm wheelbase and a 167mm ground clearance. The seat
length is 590mm. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 142kg, while the tank can
hold 12 litres of gasoline.
Design
Honda Hornet 2.0 naked streetfighter gets a
V-shaped LED headlamp with LED DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, sharp-looking tank
shrouds, step-up seat, blacked-out mechanical parts, LED indicators, and
LED taillight. The gold finish for the inverted forks and compact exhaust canister
give the bike a sporty appeal.
Features
It
makes use of a fully digital instrument panel that offers all the necessary
readouts like speed, tachometer, fuel-efficiency, odometer, trip meter, service
reminder, etc. The bike also features gear position indicator, battery
voltmeter, hazard switch, and engine start-switch.
Suspension and braking
Segment-first gold-coloured inverted forks with
mono-shock while braking duties are tended to by front and rear disc brakes
with single-channel ABS.
